Corran Cottage is situated on the edge of Laugharne, on the Taf estuary, A peaceful haven for lovers of nature, the countryside and the coastline. The cottage is dog-friendly with an enclosed garden, and also has access to a woodland garden on the river Corran and further woodland walks. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped, opening onto a patio. For colder days the cosy drawing room has a log burner. For your convenience there is off-road parking next to the cottage. Although quiet and secluded the cottage is only ten minutes walk from all the amenities that Laugharne offers;- plenty of pubs, shops, cafes & restaurants, with a post office and chemist as well.

There are many wonderful walks with panoramic views and superb beaches to enjoy, notably the seven miles of Pendine sands just a few minutes drive away. There are also many local attractions such as the seaside towns of Amroth, Saundersfoot and Tenby; majestic castles, theme parks, museums and craft shops to explore or you can spend time relaxing in the newly renovated cottage and soak up the atmosphere from the slow moving River Corran and watch a wealth of wild life in and around our own woodland walk.

Don’t forget that Laugharne was the home of Dylan Thomas and you can explore some of his haunts such as Browns Hotel as well as visit his Boat House home overlooking the heron priested shores of the estuary.

I would strongly recommend a visit to Corran Cottage and Hills Farm. We have just returned and can't praise it enough. We were greeted by Jackie who showed us around and gave us the info we needed. The welcome pack (wine, dog treats, mil;k etc.) was very much appreciated. We arrived late and it was just starting to get dark and our son, his wife and our two year old granddaughter also arrived late, but we were very pleased with the cottage - it was better than the picture. The kitchen is very, very well furnished and every thing you would possibly need if you choose to cook as well as comfortable and clean.
When we got up the next morning and could fully look around outside I have to say the place is wonderful. All the staff are very friendly and Jackie is lovely and very helpful. My granddaughter was entranced by the horses. The resident dogs, Charlie (Chaz) and Dave are very friendly, socialised wonderfully with our two dogs and are charactersin their own right and very entertaining. It was lovely being around the horses (we even had the blacksmith visit when we were there). The enclosed garden is perfect as wecould keep our dogs and granddaughter in sight while enjoying the stream and beautiful surroundings when we needed to. We could also visit the horses stables and peep in at the horses when they were home. It is a wonderful relxed placer and we have returned home relaxed (as have our dogs) and I would just say GO VISIT.
Laugharne is a lovely village with a good range of dog friendly restaurants and pubs if you want them and an easy walk. The location of Corran Cottage is perfect for visiting Tenby, Pendine and many other local beaches, many of which are dog friendly. We also thought it wasd excellent value for money for 4 adults and a child for a week. Kids will love it, adults will love it and if you are talking dogs so will they. Janet fron Cardiff

Thank you for providing a magical, healing, oasis. The teenagers didn’t know what they would do here, in deepest Wales, but they had one of their best holidays ever. Jackie and Melissa are so eay going and helpful, the dogs were so happy to roam around in all the beautiful greenery and it was very calming having the beautiful, gentle horses nearby. It’s lovely to be able to walk into the village and be near the Dylan Thomas boat house. Dave the dog was adopted into our family and both dogs are adorable. We would love to come back again, in fact we really didn’t want to leave. Thanks again Kay, Maria, Alfie, Scarlett, Archie (+Deeliah and Stanley the dogs)

We loved Laugharne on our first visit last year and loved it even more this time round, thanks to a warm, welcoming cottage and the hospitality of Jackie and Melissa. A peaceful, lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world – will be back! Yol, Pat, Anna & Jan

Thank you Jackie and Melissa for such a welcoming stay at this lovely cottage. Buster the dog has had a whale of a time mixing with your friendly little dog. Wanda, Sarah, Jamal and Azeem, not forgetting Buster

Arrived to a lovely fresh, clean home from home...and full of local information. All the wonderful countryside was a perfect backdrop for the cottage. We felt safe and didn't worry about the children playing outside, they delighted in the space to run about and the ability to ride responsive ponies. Lovely hosts, lovely cottage, lovely holiday. Do not want to leave but will be back at every opportunity. Beverly, Kolood, Ahmed and all the children. 10 out of 10.

We thought the cottage accommodation was first class, charming and very snug, our dogs loved it and so did we. We are looking forward to returning for more riding and shall be sad to leave. Perfect! ! Wendy and Ian

Lovely warm welcome, lovely cottage. Dogs loved it, lots of walks for them around. Also good beach walking at Pendine. We would certainly like to come back. Brenda, Zoe, Ollie, Beca and Pippin.
